Headquartered in New York City, Sachs Companies is a family real estate holding and asset management organization.

Founded in 1950 by Marvin and David Sachs with a six-family apartment building, Sachs Companies now owns a nationwide portfolio encompassing residential, office, retail and hospitality properties and is active in all aspects of the real estate spectrum with a heavy emphasis on development of multifamily communities.

Now run by its second and third generation, Sachs Companies continues the traditions set by its founding partners, Marvin and David, by leveraging its conservative strength, integrity, insight gained through experience and hard work to create generational wealth.  

Sachs Companies’ Principals have over a century of combined real estate experience with profound knowledge of how to capitalize in all market conditions and cycles.  They are supported by a highly skilled team of in-house, seasoned professionals with expertise in ground-up development projects, finance, asset management, law, sales and marketing and acquisitions.

Mr. Jerome Sachs

Managing Principal


Mr. Jerry Sachs has worked in the real estate industry for over 50 years with a majority of that time spent at Sachs Companies.  During his tenure at the company, Mr. Sachs has grown the business from just a small family company to having a capitalization of well over $1 Billion.  He is an expert in all areas of real estate investment and management.

Mr. Sachs was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the expansion of the company including analyzing new acquisitions, heading up asset management and managing the company’s lender relationships. 

Prior to Sachs Companies, Mr. Sachs worked at Lansco Corporation and Cooper Horowitz as a mortgage broker where he closed hundreds of transactions.

Mr. Sachs is a licensed real estate broker in New York State and received his BBA degree in management from Hofstra University. 

Mr. Michael Sachs

Managing Principal

Dr. Michael Sachs, M.D., has been and member of Sachs Companies for over 35 years. He currently jointly runs Sachs Companies with his cousin, Jerome Sachs, and is responsible for all facets of the company from acquisitions, dispositions, strategic planning and portfolio management. 

 Prior to Sachs Companies, Dr. Sachs led a distinguished career in academic research cancer surgery.  

Dr. Sachs graduated from Brandeis University (summa cum laude) then received his M.D. with honors from Loyola University of Medicine and is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He completed his post-doctoral studies in cancer head and neck reconstruction at Columbia University-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

Mr. Curtis Sachs

Principal

Mr. Curtis Sachs oversees asset management, finance, sales and marketing and acquisitions for Sachs Companies.  He has over 16 years of direct real estate experience having managed and underwritten over $3 billion of hospitality, residential (condominium and multifamily), retail and office investments across the United States.  Mr. Sachs also serves on the Executive Board of Cape Resorts & Hotels where he previously worked for over 12 years. 

At Cape Resorts & Hotels, Mr. Sachs managed the development and construction for projects totaling  over $185 million.  In addition, he was responsible for spearheading all aspects of the business including new acquisitions, sourcing lenders and institutional partners as well as asset managing a portfolio that employs over 1,100 people.  Some of Mr. Sachs’ past projects include his oversight and execution on a seven property, mixed-use investment fund in Cape May, NJ as well as the complex entitlement and construction of the Barons Cove hotel and restaurant located in Sag Harbor. He also successfully executed several other hospitality projects including the Beach Shack in Cape May, NJ and the Chelsea in Atlantic City.

 Prior to Cape Advisors, Mr. Sachs worked in the Real Estate Credit Group at PB Capital Corporation focusing on loans $50MM and up to institutional investors as well as spent two years as a relationship manager at M&T Bank in New York City.

Mr. Sachs is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York State and received his Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Ms. Blake Sachs

Principal - General Counsel

Ms. Blake Sachs is responsible for all legal matters relating to Sachs Companies and their subsidiaries, as well as plays a role in development and portfolio management for the company. Her comprehensive legal expertise includes the acquisition, sale, leasing, development, construction, management, operation and financing of commercial, hotel, and residential real estate projects.

Prior to joining Sachs Companies, Ms. Sachs served as a real estate attorney at major law firms in Texas and New York. In addition to her legal background, Ms. Sachs also has had extensive experience in the hospitality industry having worked for industry leaders Four Seasons Hotels and Expedia.

Ms. Sachs earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and her Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Texas.
